Teachers’ Day at Amity University Madhya Pradesh

Students of Amity University, Gwalior , celebrated Teachers’ Day  on 5 Sept 2014 with  gaiety and gusto . The event was presided over by Lt Gen V K Sharma AVSM (Retd). Speaking on the occasion Gen Sharma referred to the life of Dr Radhakrishnan in whose memory this day is celebrated across India. He also drew attention to the eminent role that teachers play in everyone’s life.

The Hon’ble VC’s speech was followed by a documentary on the life of Dr. Radhakrishnan. This was followed by  an Indian classical solo performance by a student as Guru Vandana. The evening saw many fun activities for teachers and stage performance by students. Some of the interesting activities were the blindfold game, tollywood dance, puzzles, balloon game, one-act-dance and a lyrical dance.

Teachers’ day couldn’t have ended without a performance by teachers. There were singing performances by teachers with Ami-Band. A short movie prepared by the students for the teachers was also screened on the occasion.

The evening concluded with a vote of thanks.
