Amity University Gwalior organizes Blood Donation Camp

Amity University Madhya Pradesh Organizes 
Blood Donation Camp
 
October 01 is observed as the world Blood Donation Day every year. The NSS Unit of Amity University Gwalior in its ongoing efforts to ‘give back’ to the society organized a day long camp in its premises. The objective of the camp was to collect blood for patients of Thalassemia.
This camp was conducted with the help of the doctors and the paramedical staff of G. R. Medical College Gwalior. Mr. P. Narahari, the Collector of Gwalior inaugurated the camp at 0930 hrs. He was welcomed by the Campus Head Prof. (Dr.) R. S. Tomar, Chairperson-NSS Prof.(Dr.) Bikram K. Bahinipati and Director-Administration Col. S. K. Sethi (Retd.). Around 300 students from Amity University and 100 students from various universities and colleges of Gwalior registered to donate blood for the sake of humanity.At the end of the day, 276 units of blood has been donated by the donors.

All the donors were distributed certificates by the blood bank of G.R. Medical College. All the HOIs/HODs,faculty, staff and students of the university participated enthusiastically in the blood donation camp as donors and volunteers.
