Amity University Madhya Pradesh organized an Awareness Rally on Road Safety

Inline with our Social Responsibility towards creating Public Awareness, AUMP, in conjunction with GVK  EMRI’s 108 Ambulance Service conducted a Motorcycle Rally on 18th December 2014, for the use of helmet. It concluded with a closing ceremony chaired by Mr. P. Narahari, the Collector of Gwalior, Lt. Gen. V K Sharma, AVSM (Retd) the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Amity University Madhya Pradesh, Mr. Ajay Tripathi, DSP, Gwalior and Dr. Gupta, Civil Surgeon, District Hospital, Morar. The Collector lauded the efforts made by AU MP, and encouraged students to participate in extra-curricular learning apart from academics. A documentary made by Amity School of Communication (ASCO) on 108 Ambulance Service was also shown to the participants during the closing ceremony.

Faculty, Students of Amity School of Communication, Pilots (ambulance drivers) and EMTs (Emergency Medical Technician/Paramedics) of the 108 ambulance service participated in the motorcycle rally and the Award Ceremony for Pilots and EMTs thereafter.

The rally commenced from District Hospital Morar, where DSP, Gwalior flagged it off towards Baradari Square – Thatipur - towards Padav Bridge - Phool Bagh Square –Jayendraganj – Maharajbada – Sarafa - Jinsi Square – Phoolbagh - Padav, and concluded at Bal Bhavan, Gwalior.

Apart from focusing on wearing-helmets while riding, the rally also emphasized on obeying traffic rules and disciplined driving, along with spreading awareness about safe riding. Apart from Gwalior, the Awareness Activity Campaign was initialized throughout Madhya Pradesh, targeting a total of 51 districts.

Amity University Madhya Pradesh Celebrated Law Day

LAW DAY CELEBRATED BY AMITY LAW SCHOOL ON THE 26 NOVEMBER, 2014

Amity Law School celebrated Law Day on 26th November, 2014 at the Moot Court Hall from 1500 hrs to 1645 hrs.

26th November marks the day when the Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Draft Constitution of India framed by it in 1949.  Hence, 26th November is celebrated as the Law Day throughout the country in commemoration of the adoption of the Constitution.

The celebration began with the welcome of the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, AUMP, Lt Gen V K Sharma, AVSM (Retd) with presentation of bouquet by Dr Ch. Narasimha Swamy, Dy. Director and Head, Amity Law School, AUMP. Hon’ble Vice Chancellor blessed the students on the occasion and exhorted them to master the practical aspects of the legal profession and plan their careers.  He expressed his confidence that the Amity Law School would emerge as the best Law School in the times to come.

The programme comprised a presentation on the background history of the adoption of the Constitution by the Constituent Assembly of India through PPTs.  The students presented some cultural programmes comprising skits on corruption, the evil practice of dowry, and some songs by the LLM students.

The programme concluded with vote of thanks by Mrs. Bharti Sharma, Coordinator of Amity Law School.

Amity University Madhya Pradesh organizes Guest Lecture on "How to Write a Research Paper"

                       “How to Write a Research Paper”

The Directorate of Research & Publication, Amity University Madhya Pradesh organized a Guest Lecture on “How to Write a Research Paper” on 25 November 2014.

The lecture was delivered by Prof. K.V. Arya, Professor of Computer Science at ABV-IIITM, Gwalior. Prof. Arya in his comprehensive talk covered all aspects of writing a Research Paper right from Introduction to Abstract, Methodology, Research &Discussion and Conclusion.

He further, explained and pointed out the common mistakes made by an ordinary writer of a paper and the communication skills of English. Lecture was followed by lively question and answer session.

The lecture was organized especially for young faculty and those who have newly joined the University. The programme was attended by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Lt Gen V K Sharma, AVSM (Retd), Heads of Schools/Departments and faculty members. In addition all the M.Tech students and research scholars also attended the lecture.

Towards the end of the programme Hon’ble V C gave his concluding remarks. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Prof (Dr) S P Bajpai, Dean (Research) and Convener of the Programme.
